IMCS Pax Romana Hostel

University Pax Romana Hostel – A Home for Catholic Students at the University of Ghana, Legon, The University Pax Romana Hostel project seeks to address a pressing need within the Catholic student community at the University of Ghana, Legon.

With university accommodation space becoming increasingly limited, many students especially those from outside Accra and international students struggle to secure a stable and spiritually supportive environment during their studies.

This initiative proposes the construction of a private hostel facility exclusively for Catholic students, with a capacity to house 2,000 students in 4-in-a-room arrangements. The hostel will be more than just a place to sleep; it will be a vibrant Catholic community designed to foster spiritual growth, moral development, and academic excellence.

It aims to provide students with a consistent and accessible place of worship, alleviating the challenge many face commuting long distances to attend Mass or participate in church activities. The proximity of the hostel to the Chaplaincy and its integration with pastoral care structures will support the Church’s mission of holistic formation nurturing faith, character, and leadership.
